A Game Changer And A Disappointment

So todays post is reviewing two products I have recently purchased from Maybelline, one being eyeliner and the other mascara.

The eyeliner I purchased was the master ink. I've always been absolutely useless when it comes to eyeliner, never being able to get it quite matching, so I wasn't expecting much to be different this time. This however was so impressive! I have never found an eyeliner that is so easy to use and get right first time. It glides on so easily and it's so easy to create a thin or thick line depending on what you prefer. I would definitely recommend this if you're looking for an eyeliner that is slightly easier to apply. It's also matte which I love, and stays on all day but is really easy to get off at the end of the day!

The mascara, unfortunately, disappointed me quite a lot. I've heard so many great things about this mascara so I was so excited to try it out. Firstly, I didn't really like the plastic applicator. Moving past that and onto how it actually looked once applied, while it did slightly lengthen my eyelashes it didn't appear to add any volume and I probably wouldn't describe it as 'lash multiplying'. 

As much as I wouldn't mind it too much as an everyday mascara my biggest problem with this was when I came to take it off. I didn't pick up the waterproof version because I absolutely hate mascara that is impossible to wash off at the end of the day, with this one though I still had that problem. I had to use a lot more eye makeup remover than I normally do and it took almost twice as long. Additionally, one night I felt a little bit lazy and left a small amount on after getting the majority off and when I woke up in the morning my eyelashes were so dry and some actually fell out! Definitely not impressing since this has never happened to me before.

Like I said, I have heard a lot of great things about this mascara and so many people love it, it just wasn't the one for me!
